As reported in a few reviews on Amazon US (including mine), my Zenfone AR device also started spontaneously to vibrate constantly after two weeks of use. Tapping the back of the device made it stop but it kept occurring frequently while in my pocket. I then discovered that if pressure is applied on the area below the bottom left corner of the camera assembly plate, the vibration motor turns on. I'm returning mine to Amazon but I wonder if I should get another one and if Asus is fixing this hardware problem.

Thank you for your quick reply. Would units sold by Amazon US right now have the hardware fix? I just want to confirn to avoid having to pay for the return of a second unit if I order a replacement.
I'm still waiting to buy this phone based on hearing that I can purchase hardware fixed version on Amazon. It was 24 days since last ASUS post about consulting team.
35 days and still counting. ASUS, how long does it take to determine if this phone in channels like Amazon no longer has vibration motor hardware problem ? I'm starting to get the feeling that ASUS doesn't really want to sell this phone.
