Hi. I've had this Zenfone 4 Max since the day after it came out. It's about 2 weeks old now and I've never had a problem until the past few days.  With my regular usage, the phone lasts 2 days (yes, 48 hours) without charging. I was really happy because ASUS really did live up to its promise for this model. I'm not a big fan of using mobile data, I only use it for short periods of time while I'm out away from WiFi Zones to use apps like Uber and what not. But recently, I've noticed that the battery drains way faster than usual. Now it only lasts a day (24 hours) with my regular usage and sadly, I am disappointed. It even gets warmer than usual. When playing graphic-heavy games, I dont remember it warming up so much in the past few weeks, but in the past few days, it gets warm enough to make it uncomfortable to hold. I havent even used the powerbank feature yet and the phone feels like its been used for more than a year. I hope ASUS makes a compensation for this issue. Wondering if any of you Zenfone 4 Max users are experiencing the same or it just might be a defect on my unit.

Hello marcoangelo.torres
Thank you for your inquiry
Do you remember what had been done before this issue occurred?
Any software updates or firmware update?
Which firmware version are you using now?
Can you post some battery consumption graphs for references?
Do you use any battery saver features? Which battery saver mode are you mostly on?
Thank you

i recently bought a zenfone 4 max last Oct 6 and noticed that the phone seem to drain battery faster

case in point - I fully charged my phone up to a 100% and unplugged it from the wall socket at around 1:00 AM. I made sure that I turned off all connections (wi-fi, mobile date, GPS) and checked that there are no apps running in the background

after around 8 hours (around 9:00 AM), the batter of the phone dropped down to 68%. Mind you, I was asleep the whole time and there was absolutely no one using the phone.

given that the zenfone 4 Max comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, I expected something better than this. 32% drop in battery in around 8 hours I think is not normal. I mean, my Samsung Galaxy S3's battery performance is way better than the Zenfone 4 Max when you come to think of it.

and I'm not sure if this will help, here are the answers to bill2_chang_ASUS's questions above:

Do you remember what had been done before this issue occurred?
   - The phone is practically brand new and not much has been done on it prior to the issue occurring.
Any software updates or firmware update?
   - None.
Which firmware version are you using now?
   - Can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it was the FW version the phone came with
Can you post some battery consumption graphs for references?
   - These are to follow
Do you use any battery saver features? Which battery saver mode are you mostly on?
   - My phone is on super saving, if I'm not mistaken

32% drop in battery in around 8 hours  is not normal.  Mine drops 3-4% in hours while I'm sleeping.
Check for background appz that are running.
