Recently, I have seen a lot of android users complaining about some android apps crashing, force closing, and or forced stopping. I myself is one who has been experiencing this too.
It’s kind of annoying that whenever you try to use an app and right in the middle of browsing (like fb and fb messenger) this apps crashes.
And so, this leads me to look for some information that may help us in avoiding and or fixing this apps crashing concerns in our devices.
Thanks to Rishi Sharma of systweak.com for posting this useful information and suggestion below besides from the common fixes that we are used to by clearing cache and clearing data of the apps info that we have been used to.
1. Systweak Android Cleaner
Systweak Android Cleaner, you possess more control over your device than without. You can clean the junk of your device as well as archived other apps that you do not use for a long time and get them back whenever there’s a need to. Systweak Android Cleaner helps you to free up space without deleting your favorite apps and lets you set the auto clean at your preferred schedule.
2. Check for app update
Check for an update in your Play Store that may have the improved version to eliminate the crashing and freezing issue as its developers are mostly working real hard to diminish the problems of their app.
Once the app is updated, this may resolve the problem. To check which app needs an update, follow the below steps:
• Launch Google Play Store
• Tap on menu (three horizontal stripes)
• Select ‘My apps and games’
• Either update all or choose the one you want.
3. Restart the Device
When there is no available update for the app, restarting the device may help as there may be some processes running in background that’s causing your desired app to fail at launch. Restarting your device will help eliminate these background processes and helps you free a significant space to get the adequate room for launching an app.
To restart, press and hold the power button and choose to restart from the menu appeared.
4. Internet Connection
Poor internet connection may also be the reason why an app crashes or freezes in your phone. Although, this isn’t the problem isn’t at times, however some poorly coded apps may have this issue especially when this app is an internet based one and is having a tentative transmission of packets. Thus, chances of app crashing.
Usually when you are connected in a Wi-Fi and this suddenly changes to 3G or 4G mobile data connection, the broken network signal may also impact the app resulting to this app freezing and or crashing in your device. So, if you are using this mode of internet connections follow the below steps to avoid the app crashing on Android:
• Close the application
• Change the mode of internet connection from “Wi-fi to 3G or 4G” and vice versa
• Wait for the connection to establish
• Relaunch the application.
5. Uninstall and Reinstall the App
Lastly if nothing works, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the application. Sometimes, the app or the files associated with that app might be corrupted up to a level that it can’t be reorganized. Thus, uninstalling and reinstalling the application may work for you.
To make this step more effective, we suggest you do some clearing caches and clearing data before uninstalling and reinstalling your app.
Now that you’ve got all this information handy, you may want to try them until your app crashing problem is resolved.
And if the problem persists, considering a factory resetting or cleaning the cache partition of your Android device might be your last option. Just make sure though that you have fully back up your files and data before you do a factory reset to avoid losing them after.
