Downgrade to 1.13.40.496?

Hi, I am not happy with the latest update (V1.15.40.639) and would like to downgrade to the previous one (V1.13.40.496). Can I downgrade by placing the previous firmware on sd card and then apply update from recovery? Has anyone tried this and confirm if it'll work?

It doesn't work like that always dude...  downgrading is not possible as per i know..  rooting is the only way for downgrading..

Yaa.. It Will Work..If You Flash It Via Recovery Mode..

Yes it certainly works. I have done it. The procedure u have mentioned is correct.

@ab1kumar  That is why i have mentioned "as per i know"... read before stating something..
and some firmware updates prevent downgrading, forcing might brick devices or end up with bootloop, sometimes with just an error.... every firmware update doesn't allow downgrading..     just some updates allow, but some doesn't...

It would be a good idea to have software updates which can be rolled back if they don't work well for a user. Maybe for the next zenfones this can be a feature.
