Hello! As per your information, your phone must be misbehaving due to some unforeseen reasons.
The best way to detect whether it is from a third party or an installed app is by checking the device in Safe Mode.
To go to safe mode:
a)please press on the power button for 3 seconds till it shows " Power off,Reboot and Airplane Mode" options.
b)Now press on the power off option for 3 seconds and click "ok".
c)Your phone will be booted into safe mode.To understand that, you will find a "safe mode" written on the bottom left corner of the display.
Now,
make a call and check whether you face problems in your phone volume or not.
If no,then it is due to an app.
If yes,
Please carry your device to the servicing center.
If it is from an app,
monitor all the installed apps.If you detect some app causing this issue, clear data/uninstall/reinstallation of the app will solve the issue. As an alternative, you could perform a factory reset.
And sometimes everything is fine but still phone misbehaves.
Then wipe partition cache.Tutorial can be found by clicking on this link.
If it is not from an app,
Open ASUS calculator, type ".12345+=" to open the SMMI hardware test.Check for Speaker test. Now if it shows "FAIL",you are confirmed it is a hardware issue.Head towards a servicing center for a solution to this problem.
Thank you.I hope it helps!
