Help flashing ww marshmallow firmware

I bought my zenfone max in China, and the first thing I do is to flash ww firmware to it. It took a lot of effort to search, but eventually I found this site http://ainotech.com/how-to-flash ... stom-twrp-recovery/ and It worked. But when the marshmallow update came, I cant use that method to flash it to my phone. What I know is that the file provided in the link is ZC550KL_V12.8.2.72_M3.1.27_WW_Phone-user.raw.zip, while the firmware I downloaded from asus website is named UL-ZC550KL-WW-13.8.26.31-user.zip. I thought maybe if I look for the raw file for the latest update then I might be able to flash it to my phone, but I can't find it. Please help me.

You need RAW firmware for ASUS Flash Tool:
WW_ZC550KL_V13.8.26.36_M3.1.40_Phone-user.raw.zip

you'll be needing the Asus flash tool for it.

HOW TO SOLVE ISSUE OF NOT GETTING UPDATES
[1] RESET OTA SERVICES
[1] Goto settings
[2] Click on apps
[3] Select the apps tab
[4] Click on an app named FOTA SERVICE
[5] Select force stop, then clear data
[6] Do the same for download manager(note=any ongoing downloads will be stopped and download history be deleted-plan accordingly)
[7] Reboot your device
[8] Open system updates and enable auto download system updates
[9] Check for updates again,you will get it.
      
       Now lets say you are not getting update now also,then move to next step(manual update)

[2] MANUAL UPDATE
[1] Download the latest firmware from asus website( it would be about 700-800mb)
[2] Connect the phone to pc and copy the downloaded firmware to the internal storage
[3] NOTE= Do not extract the firmware or paste it inside any folder,just keep it in internal storage.
[4] Reboot your phone
[5] After reboot check notification bar there will be a error symbol,open the notification drawer and click on system update file detected
[6] Press ok to start the update

Not for CN phones with WW firmware.                        

Yes, when use wrong SKU, device will not receive FOTA update because system will check the serial number. So you need to update manually.

yes, but only for manual method. But I'm afraid the downgrade firmware wasn't available anymore on support asus website.

Not for CN phones with WW firmware.

I got the problem "CN phones with WW firmware".
I put 2 WW update & 2 CN update files in the internal storage but the device only detect the 2 WW update files on the notification pop up & it always failed due to "cn_phone".
And there's no FOTA SERVICE on the apps tab.
Do i need to flash the WW / CN firmware first to get updates?
