Proximity sensor not working after marshmallow update

Was really "excited"  about the update and it really is good but when receiving the calls the screen is always off. It's after pressing the power button multiple times, that the screen turns on. It really is annoying. SMMI test fails for the proximity sensor. It just stuck there, as seen in the screenshot. It was working fine with Android L. I wiped the cache and tried factory reset as well. Plz provide a fix quickly.

Is there tempered glass on your screen if yes than remove it and see

No it's still not working and even if there was one, why did the update screwed it. 

I have recently updated my ASUS_Z00AD mobile with Official Marshmallow and after completion the proximity sensor has stopped working.  

my also not working what can do now?

Just remove the screen guard from your phone if applied, it will sort out the problem.

No its not solved even after removing screen guard, its issue of update. Plz solve.

Yes i removed it but it didn't resolve the issue.
