ZenPAd 3S 10 and Quick Charge

I can't make my ZenPAd 3S 10 / Z500 charge in Quick Charge 3.0 mode
I bought an Aukey 30 W Wall Charger PAT16 filled as QC 3.0 compliant in the Qualcomm list. I tried to use different cables, 2 different certified 3A Aukey USB 3.1 cable (I use them in QC 2.0 with my M... phone), the original Asus cable provide with the tablet. My Z500 never run Quick Charge mode.
In the setting interface, in the battery configuration part, I didn't found anithing about Quick Charge configuration like we found in other devices running Quick Charge mode

Quick Charge 3.0 requires a certified 18W adaptor, which is sold separately. Please make sure the output rate is 18W.

Z500m uses MTK chip. Quick Charge x.0 is a technology of Qualcomm and incompatible to MTK. MTKs technology is called Pump Express (also in differnt versions). So far I've not found a charger supporting fast charging our Z500m. Tested Rock Quick Charger and an old Umi charger.. No luck

I bought an Anker brand QuickCharge 3.0 wall charger specifically for my z500m tablet.  It didn't charge my ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 any faster than my standard 5v 2a charger did.  What a waste of money.  Thanks, Asus, for offering the quick charge feature that apparently is incompatible with all existing Quick Chargers

I have seen many complaints in the whole world about Asus 3S 10 not doing quick charge.  Also all the websites i read mentioned about QC 3.0 charger is sold separately, which is WRONG !!  Seems like even the moderator here did not know that the Asus original charger is Qualcomm Quick Charge compatible.

Very simple experiment.  Plug the Asus original charger to any QC compatible phone, in my case Note 4 and S7 Edge, both are showing "Fast Charging".

For the Asus 3S 10 pad, when the original charger is connected, the batter charging will show an additional "+" mark, which indicate fast charging is going on.  Use normal charger the "+" mark won't appear.

Only issue i must mention here is, I have tried 3 major brands of QC 3.0 certified chargers on Asus 3S 10 but none of them can make the "+" mark appear, I have 3 units Aukey, 2 Dodocool, 1 Tronsmart charger, none of them work.  I even use different type of USB C cables.  All these cables on original Asus Charger will show the "+" mark.

It is not known which QC version is used by the Asus original charger.

iieeann, I can't get the little "+" to show up on my battery charging icon even with the original charger that came with my Asus 3S 10 tablet.  I wonder what's up with that.  Even tried it with a new Anker PowerLine micro USB cable with a USB Type-C adapter and it still doesn't quick charge. My Qualcomm-compatible Quick Charge 3.0 Anker doesn't quick charge either.  I really like this tablet but if I had known it can't Quick Charge and that it can't be rooted because Asus won't release the bootloader key, I probably wouldn't have purchased the Asus 3S 10 tablet and would have most likely gone with the Samsung 10" tablet instead.  Not quite Buyer's Remorse here but it still galls me.

hmm, Z500M is not snapdragon chipset, i am not sure if that is the reason.  Mine is Z500KL, i observed the "+" sign only 2 days ago, before that i am crazily looking for QC solution for this zenpad too (that is how i ended up with so many QC 3.0 chargers).  Before buying this 3S 10 tablet i already read about the need to buy after market QC charger, so i did not even assemble the original Asus charger for use for long time.  

Do you have samsung handphone around to test the fast charging with Asus charger?

I ever read somewhere in website that Qualcomm QC can be implemented by just any device provided the manufacturer pay the license for the circuitry; could be i am wrong on this too.  My Samsung Note4 and S7 Edge are both Exynos chipsets but they work with Qualcomm Quick Chargers.

LOL... i finally found another charger that will quick charge the Asus 3S 10 Z500KL.
Since earlier I tried Asus charger on Samsung phones and found out fast charging is working, I did the other way today, and it worked!   Samsung charger is an Adaptive fast charger, not Qualcomm Quick Charge as I know, how could it work...

Tried out 2 Aukey QC 3.0 chargers and they refused to work with Z500KL.  I am really interested to know if any QC 3.0 certified charger will work with Asus 3S 10.

Hi All, you can add the following to the list of chargers that DON'T WORK:  model number: A2010111, Quick Charge 3.0, Anker 18W USB Wall Charger (Quick Charge 2.0 Compatible) PowerPort+ .

Tried with original ASUS cable and certified cables including:  Enzo model number: 33TCA.  No joy,

It is a shame because otherwise this is a great little tablet, may have to return it....
