You first have to check whether the problem it due to your phone or your SIM. Try transferring your SIM to another phone that you know works and ask someone to text your number.
If it immediately appears, then find out the next problem: which caused it, the phone signal itself, or the messaging app? Try downloading other text messaging apps like GoSMS Pro, Textra, Chomp SMS. Also, try disabling then enabling again your Android Messenger then updating it again then try to text your number again. Make sure that as much as possible, if you're about to text your phone, you're in an open space so that signal reception won't be a variable.

If proven that your SIM has problems, you ma6ly go to your service provider and either ask for a replacement SIM with the same number for a fee, or entirely change a new number.

If your phone is the culprit, do one final task before going to the service center: FACTORY RESET. Just make sure that you have backed all of your files up. You may back-up your messages using SMS Backup and Restore I do hope this helps! |
