[Best DelegateRecommendations – 5]
Ingmar Salim | National University ofSingapore 2014 Delegate of DISEC I recommend all first-timers orexperienced delegates to participate in PAMUN 2015. The conference is excellentin organisation, and the academic debate in the committee is also of highstandards. Lastly, the fun you get out of participating in this conference inTaipei is the reason why I will definitely join the conference again this year. Having heard of PAMUN from friends inSingapore, I decided to participate as a delegate in the conference in 2014. Iwas very impressed with how the conference was run. Their Delegate liaison teamled by Bill Liao was very responsive to delegates’ requests for visa supportingletters, a big issue if your passport requires a visa to enter Taipei in 2014.Their logistics ran without a glitch – placards, name badges were all in orderand did not need many changes. The academic quality of debate hasalso been manageable for delegates across all levels. The debate topics arerelevant to the world today, and have been crafted in the study guides suchthat delegates across all experience levels can understand. For beginners, thisis a conference worth going because it has low barriers of entry. For advanceddelegates, the study guides are clear in referencing sources where you can dofurther research above and beyond what was written inside. Lastly, the conference is worth goingbecause it is fun. My first visit to Taipei last year was memorable because ofits bustling nightlife. The socials are also very well run and the friendshipsyou make at this conference are long lasting. Hence, go for PAMUN 2015!
