“So… this is it!”
My Model UN journey didn’t begin until very recent in my life: the 1st year in college. Yet, I somehow felt after searching 18 years of my life, this is where I belong.
As a fresh MUNer in Taiwan, it is natural to attend PAMUN, especially when you study in NTU, it makes you very natural to attend this event. To us, it is more like a custom: where you go PAMUN, graduate abroad, become an officer, then at last become a great man. Consequently, I participate in PAMUN as my career start: it proved to be a life-turning event.
As a first time MUNer, I’m glad to join the most intense and sophisticated committee: the United Nations Security Council, deemed as the highest altar of Model United Nations Conference. The experience is just breathtaking. At the event, I’ve met so many outstanding alumni. Debating to and persuading them is never a job but an enjoyment. With the high intensity of academic inside the committee, it remains the most intense and fierce committee I’ve ever been in. It was definitely a experience I would cherish for life.
At last, I would definitely recommend all students around the world to give Pan Asia MUN a chance. The experience you learned is far more than something regarding your topic, but furthermore: days of enjoyment, exceptional and respectful delegates, and lifelong friends. MUN is never just about pretending to be someone you might never be able to be, but about striving your best to extend your limit, becoming someone beyond you thought you could ever be. It is my sincere honor to attend Pan Asia Model United Nations. Incredible journey that I’ve been through!
