[NUC] Why are the Fan and Power settings in NUC BIOS Different from the settings in NUC Software Studio?
Resolution
This is expected behavior. However, the power and fan settings should be active and working, even if are different from each other.
For example:
If the Fan and/or Power setting in the BIOS is set to, Max Performance; when the NUC is turned on until the Operating system (OS) takes control, the NUC will run in Max Performance mode. Once the Operating system loads, it reads and loads the settings in NUC Software Studio ( NSS) or NUC Pro Software Studio ( NPSS) and uses that value.
To get the NUC Software Studio ( NSS) or NUC Pro Software Studio settings to match the BIOS settings:
If NUC Software Studio ( NSS) or NUC Pro Software Studio are already installed
- Uninstall the application
- Configure the BIOS Power and Fan settings to the desired settings
- Reinstall NUC Software Studio ( NSS) or NUC Pro Software Studio
If NUC Software Studio ( NSS) or NUC Pro Software Studio are not already installed
- Configure the BIOS Power and Fan settings to the desired settings
- Install NUC Software Studio ( NSS) or NUC Pro Software Studio
| Note | Once a change is made, to either the BIOS or to NUC Software Studio ( NSS) or NUC Pro Software Studio ( NPSS), the settings will not match again. |
