AI used to live on distant servers. You typed a request, it traveled across the internet, and you waited for results. With an ASUS Copilot+ PC, much of that intelligence now runs on your laptop. That shift is subtle but powerful: responses feel faster, your data stays closer, more secure, and your work keeps moving.

This guide walks you through running local AI on your ASUS Copilot+ PC, with examples you can use today.

Understanding the AI Features on Your ASUS Copilot+ PC

In this guide, we will focus on six of the main AI features we’ve carefully picked for you to run on your ASUS Copilot+ PC. We’ll go feature by feature to show what each tool does and how to use it, so you can work faster, stay focused, and get polished results.

1. Copilot

Copilot is your everyday AI assistant for work, study, and everything in between. Here’s how to get started with Copilot in seconds, and what you can do with it.

Here’s how Copilot helps you

Copilot can help you work smarter and faster across tasks. It can summarize long documents and email threads; draft reports, presentations, and messages in minutes; and analyze data to surface key insights from your notes or meetings. It also automates repetitive tasks, freeing up time for higher-value work, and helps you uncover fresh ideas and unexpected angles to inspire your next move.

How to start Copilot

In ASUS Copilot+ PC, you can launch Copilot at any time in one of the following ways:

  • Press the dedicated Copilot key on supported ASUS keyboards
  • Use the Windows key + C keyboard shortcut
  • Press Alt + Space for instant access, after enabling this shortcut in the Copilot app settings.

Activate Copilot Voice

You can activate Copilot Voice at any time by holding the Copilot key or Windows key + C for 1-2 seconds. This will initiate a voice conversation with Copilot. To disable or re-enable this feature, open Copilot and navigate to Account > Settings > Copilot Keyboard Shortcuts > Press and Hold to start a voice conversation with Copilot, and toggle the switch.

Try this prompt

Open any report or PDF and type: “Summarize this in five bullet points and list action items.” Copilot will generate a concise summary along with the next steps.
If you’ll be typing prompts all day on the go, the ultralight ASUS Zenbook A14 keeps Copilot snappy with all-day battery life, while the sleek ASUS Zenbook S14 stays smooth across documents, tabs, and apps.

Tip: File search & read
You can ask Copilot to find, open, and answer questions about files on your PC. It supports most common types, including .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .txt, .pdf, and .json. Try:

  • “Can you find my resume?”
  • “Open the trip-planning doc I was working on last week.”
  • “Look at my budget file and tell me how much I spent on dining last month.”

2. Recall

Recall helps you find anything you've seen on your ASUS Copilot+ PC. It captures on-device, encrypted snapshots so you can search by memory cues or browse a visual timeline and jump straight back to where you left off.

What Recall does

Recall organizes recent activity into a searchable view:

  • Finds anything you’ve viewed via a visual timeline or natural-language search.
  • Jump back in by relaunching the original file, site, or app.
  • Keep data local with encrypted snapshots stored on your device

How to use Recall

  • Open Recall: Press Windows key + J, go to Start > All apps > Recall, or click the Recall taskbar icon.
  • Search or browse: Use natural-language queries (for example, “report with red charts”) or scroll the visual timeline.
  • Preview & resume: Select a snapshot to preview, then relaunch the original file, website, or app.
  • Act on content: Use Click to Do to act on recognized text, images, or links within the snapshot (for example, copy text or open a link).

The ASUS Vivobook S16 makes timeline scanning effortless at a glance, while the lightweight ASUS Zenbook A14 keeps Recall fast when you’re on the move.

 3. Click to Do

Click to Do helps you work faster by recognizing text and images on your screen that you can instantly act on. It analyzes what’s displayed, letting you choose the text or image you want to use.

Ways to open Click to Do

  • Press the Windows key click on the item, or use Windows key + Q
  • Right-swipe on touch-enabled ASUS Copilot+ PCs
  • Open it via the Snipping Tool menu
  • Type “Click to Do” in Windows Search and launch it

How it works

  • When Click to Do is open, it highlights actionable text and images on your screen.
  • Pick an action for the item you select. Actions can copy content, open it in an app (for example, Notepad, Photos, Paint), or run a web search. For text, you can also draft with Copilot in Word.
  • For text, you can summarize, rewrite, and create a bulleted list.
  • For images, you can erase objects and blur the background in Photos, and remove the background in Paint.

For swift actions on text or images in a compact setup, the ASUS Vivobook S14 remains efficient as you switch between tasks.

4. Live Captions

Live captions turn spoken audio on your ASUS Copilot+ PC into easy-to-read text in real time, so you never miss a word.

What Live Captions does

Live Captions gives you on-screen text for what you hear, across apps and media, and it can also translate text in real time on your ASUS Copilot+ PC.

  • Real-time captions for audio playing on your PC (meetings, videos, podcasts, etc.)
  • Live translation into your chosen language on supported ASUS Copilot+ PCs

Turn on Live Captions

  • Open Quick Settings on the taskbar and toggle Live captions, or press Windows key + Ctrl + L
  • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Captions and turn on Live captions
  • Or open Start > All apps > Accessibility > Live captions

How to Use Live Captions

  • Select position: In the Live Captions window, select Settings -> Position and choose Above screen, Below screen, or Floating on screen.
  • Choose a style: Select Settings → Preferences → Caption style to pick a built-in style or Edit to create your own.
  • Caption your speech: Turn on Settings → Preferences → Include microphone audio (off by default). Your mic is captioned only when no other device audio is being captioned, useful for in-person conversations or meetings.

Play a video in another language, turn on Live captions, and see real-time translated captions.
If you want captions that are easy to read, the ASUS Vivobook S16 gives them room to breathe. On the go, the ASUS Zenbook A14 lasts through long meetings on battery.
