What are the differences between Fan Speed in Auto mode, 0dB, and Custom mode?

The differences between Fan Speed in Auto mode, 0dB , and Custom mode are as follows:.

● Auto mode: In Auto mode, the fan speed is automatically controlled by the graphics card's fan curve setting. The fan speed adjusts dynamically based on the GPU temperature and workload.

● 0dB: When this feature is enabled, the fan will only start spinning after reaching the preset temperature threshold. This mode is designed to provide silent operation during light workloads or idle periods, reducing noise levels and improving user comfort. Once the GPU temperature exceeds the threshold, the fan will start spinning to maintain adequate cooling.

Note: Due to system limitations, the 0dB feature can only be enabled in Auto mode.

● Custom mode: In Custom mode, users have full control over the fan speed settings. They can manually adjust the fan speed curve or set specific fan speeds according to their preferences. This mode allows for precise tuning of cooling performance, balancing noise levels with temperature management. For a more advanced approach, you can refer to the article:LINK

Overall, the choice between these modes depends on individual preferences and requirements. Auto mode offers convenience and automatic fan speed adjustments, while 0dB prioritizes silent operation during low-load scenarios. Custom mode provides the most flexibility and control over fan speed settings, allowing users to fine-tune cooling performance to their liking.

Is it safe to overclock? Will overclocking damage the GPU? How to avoid it ?

Using GPU Tweak III for overclocking is safe because the upper limits set within the software are generally within protected ranges.

However, excessive overclocking may lead to instability issues such as artifacting or black screens. We recommend referring to our overclocking guide for overclocking and performing stress tests after overclocking. You can refer to this article:How to overclock your graphics card with GPU Tweak III
