ASUS to provide CPU microcode updates addressing potential security vulnerabilities for speculative execution side-channel analysis methods

ASUS is aware of new potential security vulnerabilities including derivatives of the speculative execution side-channel analysis methods (known as Meltdown and Spectre) publicly disclosed in January 2018.

The exploitation of one or more of these vulnerabilities could facilitate the unauthorized exposure of privileged data from memory, allowing an attacker potential access to private information.
