E-A-R® HDD protection
Laptop HDDs are generally more susceptible to physical damage compared to SSDs. The HDDs used in ASUS F515 now feature E-A-R® HDD shock dampening to protect your data from physical impact. Active hard drive protection automatically detects shock and vibration across all three axes to effectively reduce the chances of HDD damage, so you can work without worry, even in a moving vehicle.
Reinforced chassis
A metal support brace underneath the keyboard provides a much more stable platform when typing and using the touchpad. Besides providing structural rigidity, it also strengthens the hinge joint and protects internal components.
Reinforced lid
The sides of the lid are reinforced and work like side-impact protection beams in automobiles. These provide structural support for the lid, the panel, and the hinge joint.
