HOW IT WORKS

Making the magic happen

ASUS Spatial Vision technology adds specially crafted optical layers to the surface of an OLED display. It’s like a high-tech glass sandwich that’s bonded to the OLED panel with optical resin. The ‘filling’ consists of a lenticular lens layer that directs the stereo images separately to each eye, and a switchable liquid crystal layer that lets you turn the 3D effect on and off.

EYE-TRACKING TECHNOLOGY

See 3D from any position

ASUS Spatial Vision includes an eye-tracking camera system that allows you to see 3D images from different viewing positions, for a truly immersive 3D experience. The dual cameras continuously detect the precise position of each of your eyes, and use this information to perform real-time image rendering and weaving to create a 3D image that automatically adjusts as you move your head around.

Lenticular lens technology

The OLED display is covered with a specially crafted lenticular lens, which ensures that separate stereo images are sent to your left and right eyes. This lets you see stereoscopic 3D visuals with your naked eyes, an effect known as autostereoscopy.

As of November 15, 2022 based on internal ASUS market analysis, comparing ASUS Spatial Vision technology to competing laptops with an autostereoscopic 3D display, ASUS is the first to use an OLED display with this technology.
Based on internal tests, the autostereoscopic 3D effect might vary between different users. There is still a possibility of users experiencing dizziness or crosstalk due to other reasons, and this varies according to the individual.
