What is the MIL-STD-810H standard? 

Developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, the MIL-STD-810H standard is a U.S. military standard of testing that examines the military equipment's resistance to the environmental conditions it may face throughout its lifetime. This standard aims to simulate the environmental condition in the testing room setting. With these tests, we ensure our products are durable and reliable, which translates into better longevity, and also benefits the environment and making the product more sustainable.

How are ASUS TUF Laptops tested to the MIL-STD 810H standards?         
ASUS TUF Gaming laptops (A15/A17/F15/F17) have been tested by 5 test methods and 5 test procedures. * The test conditions include Shock, Vibration, High and Low Temperature, Humidity, or high altitude. Please refer to the table below for the testing methods and procedures. The testing items and results may vary depending on the product.

*The testing regime includes the requirements of both military-grade standards and ASUS quality tests, and varies depending on the device. MIL-STD-810 testing is conducted on selected ASUS products only. Note that the MIL-STD-810 testing helps to ensure the quality of ASUS products but does not indicate a particular fitness for military use. The test is performed under laboratory conditions. Any damage caused by attempts to replicate these test conditions would be considered accidental, and would not be covered by the standard ASUS warranty. [Commercial NB] Military Standard(MIL-STD 810) Introduction

IL-STD-810 is a series of test standard designed by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) for military products.  The product is to be tested under various simulated harsh environments within a given service life for its reliability and durability.

ASUS Commercial Series Notebooks* have passed a series of rigorous military-grade MIL-STD-810 durability tests, successfully surviving varying conditions including solar radiation exposure, high altitude, and temperature extremes (as shown in Figure 1.). It's certified to endure day-to-day use, from accidental knocks to sudden drops on a desk.

Models Supported: Notebooks such as ASUS ExpertBook series. For greater reliability and durability, from 2023 onwards, ASUS consumer laptop models and onwards will be tested to the latest and most demanding MIL-STD 810H military-grade standard.

What is the MIL-STD-810H standard?

Developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, the MIL-STD-810H standard is a U.S. military standard that focuses on adapting the environmental design and testing limits of military equipment to the conditions it will

experience throughout its service life. This standard aims to create room testing methods that repeat the effects of the environment on equipment.

How many procedures of MIL-STD 810H does the ASUS consumer laptop test to?

ASUS consumer laptop series is the world's first brand that 12 test methods and 26 test procedures. The test conditions including Shock, Vibration, Temperature, Sand and Dust, Explosive Atmosphere, Altitude, Humidity,

Mechanical Vibration, Solar Radiation tests…etc. Please refer to the below for all 12 test methods and 26 test procedures.

*Some machines will only pass 8 major items with 21 sub-items, 9 major items with 12 sub-items, or 5 major items with 5 sub-items tests. The testing items and results may vary depending on the product.

Based on ASUS internal market research using available information and testing reports from main laptop brand websites on Oct 28, 2022, ASUS consumer laptops use a regime consisting of 26 test procedures, which is the consumer laptop industry’s strictest and most extensive test regime for the MIL-STD-810H standard.
