[MB] BIOS Update Required Message When Launching Call of Duty

If customer reports the problem that Call of Duty cannot play due to the requirement of security , such as TPM or BIOS update, please guide the customer to check troubleshooting:

1. If you are using an AMD AM4 system with a 1000-series CPU or a 2000-series CPU without integrated graphics, AMD currently does not support TPM firmware that meets gaming requirements. We recommend checking with AMD or the game developer for updates.

2. It is recommended to update your BIOS to the latest version which available on the ASUS official support website, you can refer to FAQ:

[Motherboard] How to update BIOS of the motherboard ?(Include different generation CPU) | Official Support | ROG Global

3. If you have updated to the latest BIOS version available on the ASUS support website but still receive prompts to update the BIOS, we recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:
  a. Follow the troubleshooting recommendations on the Call of Duty official website: https://support.activision.com/articles/trusted-platform-module-and-secure-boot
  b. Go to the BIOS/Boot/Secure Boot, ensure the [OS type] is set to [Windows UEFI mode]
  c. Go to the BIOS/Boot/Secure Boot/Key Management, click [Restore Default Secure Boot Keys], or click [Clear Secure Boot Keys] and then [Install Default Secure Boot Keys], and then reboot PC and retry.
  d. Boot into Windows, and go to OS Settings / Privacy &security / Device Security / Core Isolation, confirm [Memory Integrity] is enabled
  e. Go to OS Settings / Privacy &security / Device Security / Security Processor / Troubleshoot, click [Clear TPM] and [Clear Old Security Logs]
  f. Go to OS Settings / Windows Update, and install all patches to latest versions
  g. Manually delete the C:\Windows\System32\ricochet folder, and restart Battle to automatically download the new anti-cheat driver package corresponding to your region.
  h. Please check if any of your external devices have failed security certification. We recommend installing only the minimum number of devices required for system startup (keeping only the CPU, CPU cooler, RAM, power supply, graphics card, monitor, SSD, and keyboard/mouse connected directly to the MB), and retry.
  i. Please check if you have installed any proxy tools (including VPNs), acceleration software, or plugins that may be causing the game’s security verification to fail. We recommend launching the game using a native network connection.
  j. If you have replaced any hardware components—such as the MB, CPU, or graphics card, etc…—and are unable to log in to the game, we recommend reinstalling clean OS first and then trying again.

If the steps above do not resolve your issue, please record a detailed video, along with a detailed list of your system configuration, and contact your local ASUS Service Center for further assistance.
