[Gaming NB] Armoury Crate - Slash Lighting Introduction

The Slash Lighting LED is positioned on the back cover of the laptop screen. This LED light strip is composed of multiple independent mini LEDs. Through the settings in Armoury Crate, users can freely express their creativity by customizing unique personal lighting effects on their device.
The ROG Zephyrus G14 and ROG Zephyrus G16 are laptops equipped with Slash Lighting LEDs.

Slash Lighting has been integrated into the Armoury Crate application. Users can configure the settings through the Armoury Crate application.
Please make sure the Armoury Crate version is V6.0 or above.

Please type and search [ARMOURY CRATE]① in the Windows Search Box, and then click [Open]②.
In Armoury Crate Home page, select [Slash Lighting]④ in [Devices]③ section, then click [ON]⑤ to active Slash Lighting effect.
It provides five themes for users to choose from, and allows users to select from a variety of lighting effects via the Animation Pattern drop-down menu. The Lighting Effect Preview area provides a real-time preview of the selected lighting effect.

①Interval: Adjust the interval for repeating the basic lighting effects.
②Brightness: Adjust the brightness of the lighting effects while playing.
Animation Pattern-Sonic Match
Sonic Match is a type of dynamic lighting mode that visualizes audio as an equalizer effect. It can detect the user's audio source (Input: microphone; Output: speaker) and displays the lighting effect according to the selected direction. The lighting will synchronize with the audio beats, and you can adjust the [Sensitivity] setting to control the visual intensity.
This feature allows you to stay informed of application notifications at all times by visualizing them with lighting effects and sound alerts.
①Show animated toast notifications: Enable or disable the display of lighting effects when an application notification is received.
②Select animation pattern to use: Choose the animation pattern to be applied when a notification is received.
③Enable sound with Animation Pattern: Turn application notification sounds on or off.
④Get notifications from these apps: View the list of applications that send notifications.
Slash Mixer is a customization feature that allows users to mix and record sound effects, synchronizing them with the Slash Lighting effects on the laptop lid to create a personalized audiovisual experience. Users can choose different sound styles and use keyboard shortcuts 1 to 7 to create their own unique combinations of lighting and sound effects. Once finished, you can apply your creation by selecting [Customized] under [Change Theme].
①Profile Name: Click the text box to directly edit the name of the custom effects.
②Sound Style: Offers various styles of sound effects for users to select and pair with the lighting effects.
③Record/ Stop: Click Record to set the lighting and sound effects by using the cursor or number keys 1-7; you can pause during recording or click Stop at any time to end the recording.
④Record Speed: Provides options to slow down the sound effects during recording; the default value is 1x (normal speed).
⑤Save and Apply: After recording is complete, users can save and apply the lighting effect directly.
⑥Play Preview: Once recording is finished, click Preview Playback to play the recorded effects.
⑦Clear: Clear the current recording; you can clear at any time during preview playback.
Manage your Slash Lighting system and power-saving preferences, giving you full control over the system status.
①Syetem Settings
•Allow lighting active on battery power: Keep the Slash Lighting active even when not plugged in.
•Allow lighting active when lid is closed: Keep the Slash Lighting active even when the lid is closed.
•Show startup and shutdown animation patterns: Display Slash Lighting startup/shutdown effects when powering the device on or off.
•Show sleep animation pattern: Display Slash Lighting sleep effects when entering sleep mode.
•Show light effects based on Virtual Assistant activity: Slash Lighting will respond with corresponding lighting effects to Virtual Assistant AI operations, such as Chat, using the Librarian, or performing Transcription& Summarization functions.
②Power and Battery Settings
•Allow dimming Slash on low battery: Automatically activates power-saving mode (Slash Lighting will dim) when the battery reaches the specified percentage.
•Show low battery alert: The lights will flash to alert you when the battery is low.
•Show battery level: Displays the current battery level and charging lighting effects at all times. You can set it to always display (Always on) or stop after looping twice (Loop twice then stop).

Question 1: Why has my Slash Lighting feature disappeared?
A: We recommend going to Armoury Crate APP> Settings > Update Center > Check for Updates, and confirming that Slash Kit has no updates available. After the update is complete, relaunch the application and check again. Alternatively, you can open Slash Lighting and select [Settings] to verify your system settings.
Question 2: Why don’t I have the Slash Mixer feature?
A: Same as Question 1. Go to Armoury Crate > Settings > Update Center > Check for Updates, and confirm that Slash Kit has no updates available. After updating, relaunch the application and check again.
Question 3: Which keys can I use to play and mix Slash Mixer tones in real time?
A: You can use keys 1–7 on the laptop keyboard, or the on-screen virtual keys, to play and mix your tones. You can also find the lighting-effect combinations you created under Customize them.
