[LCD Monitor] G-SYNC PULSAR function introduction
G-SYNC Pulsar is a revolutionary breakthrough in variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. It not only brings a stutter-free experience and ultra-smooth motion, but also significantly reduces the blur and ghosting that may appear on the screen when fast-moving objects are displayed, thanks to its innovative variable frequency strobing technology, providing ultra-clear dynamic images.
How to confirm G-SYNC PULSAR support? You can check the product specifications on the ASUS official website.

How to enable G-SYNC PULSAR
① Press the OSD menu key on the back of the monitor and select G-SYNC Processor.
② Turn on PULSAR.
Questions and Answers:
Question 1. Why can't I enable G-SYNC Pulsar in the OSD menu (option is grayed out)?
Answer 1: Please check if the following conditions are met. If any of them are not, this option may not be available:
● GPU specifications: Make sure you are using an NVIDIA RTX 30 series or later.
● Connection cable: Make sure you are using DisplayPort connection (HDMI does not support this feature).
● Monitor refresh rate: Ensure the monitor refresh rate is set to the specified high refresh rate (for example: XG27AQNGV should be set to 240Hz or 360Hz, depending on your model's specifications).
● Monitor mode setting: Go to the G-SYNC Processor settings in the OSD and make sure you have switched to “Performance mode” or “Standard mode”.
● NVIDIA Control Panel application: Enable G-SYNC (Compatible). In the pop-up “NVIDIA Control Panel” dialog box, find the “Display” tab, then enter the “Set up G-SYNC” menu. In this window, simply check the box “Enable G-SYNC, G-SYNC Compatible”.
Question 2: What is the difference between G-SYNC Pulsar and ULMB 2? How do I switch between them?
Answer 2: These two technologies depend on the G-SYNC status:
●G-SYNC Pulsar: When G-SYNC is “enabled” on the PC, the OSD menu will display and activate NVIDIA Pulsar technology (supports VRR - variable refresh rate).
●ULMB 2: When G-SYNC is “disabled” on the PC, the OSD menu will automatically switch to show NVIDIA ULMB 2 (fixed frequency backlight strobing).
Question 3: What is the "Pulsar Low FPS" function in the menu?
Answer3: This is an advanced setting for G-SYNC Pulsar, and can only be adjusted after Pulsar is turned on. ●Function Description: To prevent screen flicker discomfort caused by strobing when the frame rate (FPS) is too low during games, you can set a [value]. ●Behavior Mode: Suppose you set Pulsar Low FPS to 90. When the game FPS drops below 90, the Pulsar motion blur elimination function will temporarily turn off automatically. When the FPS rises back above 90, the function will automatically resume.
