How to connect to OpenVPN Server with your device？(For Windows)

To install OpenVPN client on your Windows based client device :

Step1. Install OpenVPN software

         (1). Download and install OpenVPN software. Please go to below link to download installing software.

               OpenVPN installer (Non-Asus software)

         (2). Double click OpenVPN software to install program

Step2. Copy connecting config file(.ovpn file) to the OpenVPN folder [VPN] How to set up a VPN server on ASUS router – OpenVPN

         (1). Open "C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config" folder (the path is depending on where the OpenVPN software installed on)

         (2). Copy the client.ovpn file exporting from OpenVPN server of ASUS router to “config” folder.

Step3. Connect VPN Server

         (1). Right click the "OpenVPN icon" on the desktop and click “Run as administrator”.

         (2). OpenVPN GUI will show up on the windows task list. Right click the icon and click “Connect”

         (3). Enter Username and Password for authentication

         (4). You can see the icon if connecting successfully.
