[Wireless Router] Troubleshooting - Computer cannot find the wireless router

1. Check whether your computer has a wireless network adapter:

  • 1-1. Windows logo key keyboard shortcuts in Windows 7. Press “Windows logo key“ + “R key”, and then open the Run dialog box, Key in devmgmt.msc, and then open the Device Manager.
  • 1-2. Expand Network adapters.
  • 1-3. Look for a network adapter that might have wireless in the name.

2. Check whether your wireless adapter can search for the wireless SSID nearby.

    Select the Network or Wireless icon in the notification area.

3. Confirm the SSID and password you key in are correct

     3-1.  Connect your computer to the router via wired connection and enter your router LAN IP or router URL http://www.asusrouter.com to the WEB GUI.

     3-2.  Click

      3-3. Check whether your wireless the SSID and password.

            

 

4. Check your router is NOT set to Hide SSID

     4-1. Enter https://router.asus.com to the WEB GUI.

     4-2. Go to [Wireless] >> [General]

     4-3. Check whether Hide SSID.
