[NUC] SD Card Reader on NUC Isn't Working

Resolution

  1. Verify the SD Card is enabled in the BIOS (the location in the BIOS may vary depending on the model):
    1. Press F2 during startup to enter BIOS Setup.
    2. Go to Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices.
    3. Check the setting for the SD Card. If it is disabled, enable it.
    4. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS.
  1. Update Visual BIOS or Update Aptio BIOS to the latest version.
  2. Download and install the latest Card Reader driver for your NUC.
  3. If the above doesn't fix the issue, check for any physical damage on the SD card or the SD Card reader slot.
