[AI Router] Adding LG ThinQ Devices to Home Assistant
This guide will walk you step by step through integrating LG ThinQ devices into Home Assistant.
1. Prerequisites
- Make sure you have completed the initial setup of your LG ThinQ device using the official LG ThinQ app, connected it to your router, and confirmed it works properly.
- Register an LG account.
2. Open Devices & Services and Add Integration
In the Home Assistant sidebar, go to [Settings] > [Devices & Services].

Click the [Add Integration] button in the lower right to start adding a new device integration.

3. Search for LG ThinQ
Type [LG ThinQ] in the search bar and select it from the results.

4. Start LG ThinQ Integration Setup
Click [LG ThinQ] to begin the setup process.

5. Enter Token
In the pop-up window, enter your LG token to log in to the LG ThinQ service. Click the link on the screen.

You will be redirected to the LG login page. Select your region, then enter your LG account and password, and click login.
Note: You must select your actual region from the menu at the top of the page to log in successfully.

Select the data types you want Home Assistant to access with the token, then click confirm.

Click the copy button to copy the token to your clipboard.

Paste the token into the Home Assistant setup page and click confirm.
6. Set Device Name and Location
You can give this integration a name and select the location of the device (e.g., living room, bedroom) for easier management and identification.

7. Integration Complete: View Devices
Once setup is complete, you will see your integrated LG ThinQ devices in the Home Assistant device overview page.
