[ASUS Commercial Series] Firmware Data Protection and Back Cover was opened
Firmware Data Protection: Ensure firmware data integrity, protect against attacks, detect intrusion activities, and support secure recovery mechanisms.
Back Cover was opened: Automatically detects whether your computer's back cover has been opened, protecting hardware security.
1. Firmware Data Protection
(1) When you start your computer, you may see the following red or green text as shown in the image below:
- Saving firmware data while Secure Boot is disabled!
Saving firmware data!
The appearance of red or green text indicates that the new generation of ASUS business laptops supports backup and saving firmware data. You may see this red or green text if you have changed any BIOS settings.
Whether red or green text appears, it means your BIOS settings have been backed up. However, red text means that Secure Boot Control in the BIOS is disabled. If Secure Boot Control is disabled, the computer system can load uncertified third-party drivers, which may cause security issues. We recommend that you manually enable it; please continue reading on how to enable Secure Boot Control.
※ Secure Boot Control is enabled by default.
※ Any BIOS setting change and saving will trigger the BIOS backup function, displaying the red or green text shown in the image below.
(2) After pressing the power button, immediately press the [F2] key repeatedly to enter the BIOS main screen.

(3) Press [F7] to enter Advanced Mode in the BIOS setup screen. Click ①[Security], enable ②[Secure Boot Control], then press [F10] and click ③[OK] to save. The Secure Boot Control will be enabled.

2. Back Cover was opened
If you see the following message when you start your computer, it means the bottom cover of your laptop has been opened. If it was not opened with your authorization, press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds to shut down, and report it to your IT administrator.
"Back Cover was opened, Please ensure the back cover is closed, pressing power button to shut down and power on the system again or rebooting the system by Ctrl+Alt+Del."
