[Windows 11/10] How to Adjust Mouse/Touchpad Cursor Speed

This article provides instructions on adjusting the cursor speed for the mouse or touchpad in the Windows 11/10 operating system.

 

Windows 11 operating system

Adjust Mouse Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Mouse settings] in the Windows search bar, then click [Open].  
  2. In the Mouse pointer speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the mouse cursor speed.  

 

Adjust Touchpad Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Touchpad settings] in the Windows search bar, then click [Open].  
  2. In the Cursor speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the touchpad cursor speed.  

 

 

Windows 10 operating system

Adjust Mouse Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Mouse settings] in the Windows search bar, then click [Open].  
  2. In the Cursor speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the mouse cursor speed.  
  3. If there is no Cursor speed option in the mouse setting, it might be due to Windows version differences. Click [Additional mouse options].  
  4. Select [Pointer Options], drag the slider left or right in the Select a pointer speed field to adjust the mouse cursor speed, then click [Apply]and [OK]to save changes.  

 

Adjust Touchpad Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Touchpad settings] in the Windows search bar, then click [Open].  
  2. In the Change the cursor speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the touchpad cursor speed.
