ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the sponsorship of two League of Legends® (LoL) professional gaming teams, Taipei Assassins (TPA) and Taipei Snipers (TPS), in competing on the international stage.

TPA is an elite team consisting of a group of top players that competes in various LoL competitions. TPA came in first in LoL’s Season Two World Championship, held in Los Angeles, USA, in October 2012. In May 2014, the team represented South East Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau in the LoL All-Star Challenge held in Paris, France. TPS, the sister team of TPA, came in second in the Garena Premier League (GPL) 2013 Winter Season, and third in 2013 Asian Indoor-Martial Arts Games.

The new cooperation between ROG, TPA and TPS, is intended to shine a light on Taiwan’s outstanding gaming talent and hardware prowess and its ability to achieve outstanding results on the world stage. ROG is a longtime supporter of gaming teams and their participation in gaming tournaments worldwide, with ROG gaming gear the preferred choice for many of the world’s best games-players.

Commenting on ROG’s latest sponsorship, TPA captain BeBe said: “The range of ROG gaming accessories not only has powerful performance, its smooth rendering and stability are also stunning. Team members will be fearless against strong opponents from around the world, and able to wipe out the enemies first. This is also one of the most important reasons why we chose ASUS ROG as our comrade.”

World-class gamers march to victory with ROG weapons

ROG’s sponsored teams, TPA and TPS, are equipped with ROG’s G56JR gaming laptops, G30 gaming desktop PCs, Maximus VII Hero motherboards, Orion Pro gaming headsets and a variety of DirectCU II gaming graphics cards, as well as 24-inch VG248QE fast gaming monitors.

The ROG G56JR gaming laptop is equipped with extreme mobility, powerful performance and super-smooth graphics performance comparable to a desktop PC — so ROG’s international gaming stars carry all the power necessary to prepare for battle.

ROG’s G30 gaming desktop PC uses automatic case ventilation control and liquid CPU cooling for efficient heat dissipation, increased operating stability and reduced noise. The extreme performance of its 4th-generation Intel® Core™ i7-4770K processor can be fully exploited with one-click overclocking of all four cores on the fly.

VG248QE fast gaming monitor is the world’s first 144Hz display with 1ms grey-to-grey (GTG) response time for Full HD 1920 x 1080 visuals at up to 144fps with reduced motion blur and input lag. The VG248QE supports NVIDIA® 3D Vision® 2 and features ASUS-exclusive GamePlus with crosshair and timer functions.

ROG’s gamer battalion also relies on the Maximus VII Hero Z97 motherboard for the best performance and gaming features. Exclusive LANGuard and GameFirst III networking technologies ensure a smooth internet connection that banishes lag, while exclusive SupremeFX 2014 delivers precision-engineered audio that’s as great as a dedicated sound card. Sonic Radar II technology helps ROG’s sharp-shooting squad to pinpoint enemies on the battlefield. Maximus VII Hero also has exclusive KeyBot technologies for an instant keyboard upgrade. Users can assign macros to the function keys for instant shortcuts and commands, and can even program them for one-click smart logins or application launches.
