4. Device version

ASUS GlideX versions are divided into an ASUS exclusive version and a general version.

By using the ASUS exclusive version, you can enjoy the most complete software features.

Please install ASUS GlideX first. On the home page, click [Device version] to check which plan your current device can use with ASUS GlideX.

Features available in the ASUS exclusive version compared to the general version:

   (1) Number of connected devices: The ASUS exclusive version can connect to two devices at the same time, while the general version can only connect to one device.

   (2) Image transmission quality: The ASUS exclusive version supports native image quality (2k60), while the general version can only use FHD (1080p60Hz) quality.

   (3) The ASUS exclusive version can use Communication, Remote Access, and Shared Cam features, while the general version cannot use these features.

※ Native image quality (2K60): Actual performance depends on your network and hardware devices. As for native image quality, resolution, and refresh rate, it may be higher than 2K/60 Hz depending on your network and hardware devices.

※ Mac only supports Extend and Unify Control features.

※ The ASUS exclusive plan is bound to your device. You can obtain the ASUS exclusive plan by purchasing ASUS products that can install ASUS GlideX. For example, if you have an ASUS Zenfone-9 and a Microsoft Surface: when using the Microsoft Surface alone, the current plan is the general version. When you connect the ASUS Zenfone-9 and the Microsoft Surface, the Microsoft Surface cross-device collaboration: image quality feature will be temporarily upgraded to native image quality (2k60), and will revert to FHD quality (1080p 60Hz) after disconnection. To use the full features (ASUS exclusive version), it is recommended to connect with an ASUS PC device.
