Recommended Overclocking ASUS PRIME Z690-A Motherboard with Intel Core i-12900K CPU
I managed to get my hands on an Intel Core i5 13600K and with the help of Asus who lent me two motherboards for testing, in fact there were three, the Asus TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS D4 for the 13600KF tests with DDR4 CL16 at 3800Mhz, the Asus PRIME Z690-A for DDR5 CL32 at 6000Mhz and an extra ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO that I've tested before.

The ASUS PRIME Z690-A is more than capable of handling the new 12th Generation Intel Core processors. Its feature set is also not too shabby either, and has got all bases covered. If you are looking at a new motherboard to take advantage of the performance gains from new technologies adopted on the new Z690 platform, the ASUS PRIME Z690-A is certainly a motherboard to consider.
