SMJK Yok Bin is a high school

The challenge

SMJK Yok Bin is a high school established in 1947. It’s located on Jalan Air Leleh, about 3 km from Melaka Town, Malaysia. Before the pandemic, WiFi was only available in the main office of the school. But during the pandemic, all classes went online. This made network access vital for teachers ― because they needed to have stable connections for smooth online teaching.

The solution

To source for a networking solution, SMJK Yok Bin administrators then approached ASUS. After studying the floor plan with ASUS technical expert, the school decided to go for ASUS AiMesh network in order to provide strong WiFi signals throughout the school. Strategic locations were selected for ASUS routers to provide the best WiFi coverage across classrooms, from the ground floor to third floor.

Utilizing the power and simplicity of the ASUS AiMesh Solution, all SMJK Yok Bin’s classrooms now have stable and robust internet access. The ASUS routers provide extreme capacity and impressive network efficiency, allowing teachers to run online classes concurrently without any lag or delays. The ASUS AiMesh solution also allows teachers to roam around the school with a single SSID, which lead to a more stable connection since signals aren’t constantly switching between networks.
