Two Devices in One – ADSL Modem and Wi-Fi Router
The ASUS DSL-N55U D1 Wireless-N600 ADSL Modem Router works in both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless networks, with up to 600 Mbps total bandwidth. It can also connect to the internet using either the Ethernet or DSL WAN (Wide Area Network) ports, allowing customers to use it as either an modem
router or standalone router. Equipped with powerful hardware NAT acceleration and built-in Gigabit Ethernet, the DSL-N55U D1 gives you full Gigabit internet performance, with a WAN-to-LAN throughput performance of over 900 Mbps.
Two USB 2.0 ports allow the DSL-N55U D1 to share printers and scanners over a network, and it can also operate as high-speed NAS (Network Attached Storage) device when external storage is connected.
The ASUSWRT interface allows quick setup and simplified network management, while the DSL-N55U D1 also includes AiCloud, the exclusive ASUS cloud computing app.
Two WAN ports for DSL and Ethernet offer double the choice
The DSL-N55U D1 has two WAN (Wide Area Network) ports, allowing it to be used as standalone router when not operating as an ADSL modem router. You can choose which mode suits your needs at any time, reducing cost and clutter by not having to buy separate power-consuming devices. Whether for a basic home setup or a full wireless network, this dual-WAN design gives you total flexibility .
Dual WAN support allows you to configure two separate internet
connections on the same router. Load balancing and failover modes give you extra
reliability and redundancy to ensure uninterrupted internet access. Even
better, you can check the status and configuration of WAN connections instantly
via the ASUSWRT Network Map.
Enhanced signal range and stability
AiRadar intelligently strengthens wireless connectivity using beamforming
technology, high power amplification, and exclusive ASUS RF fine-tuning.
This ensures extended coverage, increases dynamic data speed, and enhances
Gigabit Internet browsing with hardware NAT
Equipped with a powerful hardware NAT acceleration engine and built-in Gigabit Ethernet, the DSL-N55U D1 gives you full Gigabit performance. Its WAN-to-LAN throughput performance is over 900 Mbps, which is more than 4.5 times that of traditional software-based NAT Gigabit routers. This reduces the possibility of bottlenecks on fast internet connections.
Add external storage, printers, and other devices to your network
Two USB ports make the DSL-N55U D1 perfect for file, multimedia, and printer sharing, while ASUS AiDisk offers remote access and content streaming on a wide range of compatible devices.
