The 2023 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Motherboard Brand goes to…ASUS. Not only has the brand been a favourite of our readers year-on-year, but this year’s results have been their highest in the last decade, surpassing their previous high of 62% in 2020’s Awards.

Can anyone beat ASUS in the PC DIY scene?

With a commanding 62% share of the votes, ASUS is once again the winner of this Readers’ Choice category.

The beefy heatsink ensures that the motherboard has no issue running a Ryzen 9 7950X with the processor sustaining 5GHz clock speed in throughout the Cinebench test
To sum up, the ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI shapes up to be a balanced AMD AM5 motherboard offering, where it comes with modern features that matter, such as PCIe 5.0 support for a M.2 drive, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and a decent VRM setup that (hopefully) shouldn't have any issues handling even the upcoming generations of Ryzen CPUs that will be built on the AM5 platform.

"I think the Prime X299 Edition 30 deserves our gold award for several reasons. I've tested many X299 motherboards and this is probably, if not the best of them despite its excessive price and weird market position. It also earns points for being a nice commemorative piece and something that's going to be a limited edition whether that was intentional or not. It's not perfect, but it's about as close as I've seen from any other motherboard model.”
