ASUS Announces ExpertBook P5440 Laptop with BIOS-SHIELD™ PC Security Technology
ASUS and Janus Technologies Inc. partner to enable the next evolution in endpoint security and cloud management for business professionals
Fremont, CA (February 19, 2020) - ASUS and Janus Technologies Inc. today announced an integration between the ASUS ExpertBook P5440 laptop for business users and Janus’s BIOS-SHIELD™ technology. The two companies are teaming up to create a business-centric solution to help small to mid-size companies strengthen their PC security and remote management capabilities. The ASUS ExpertBook P5440-54-SHD will be the first model within the ExpertBook P Series family to integrate the capabilities of BIOS-SHIELD technology.
The compact ASUS ExpertBook P5440 offers unrivaled mobility with flexible high-performance options to supercharge productivity, and its integration with BIOS-SHIELD provides ExpertBook users with a stronger defense against today’s cyber threats. Unlike other PC security solutions, this added layer of protection through virtualization of the OS helps to block malicious malware from infecting your data. BIOS-SHIELD uncouples the tie between the OS and the hardware, enabling stronger network management and greater PC security.

In addition to the integrated BIOS-SHIELD technology, ASUS ExpertBook P5440 users will be able to sign up for the BIOS-SHIELD Cloud Management Subscription Service, which is a new feature of this technology that will be demonstrated at this year’s RSA Conference 2020. Through the Cloud Management portal, users can securely access their data outside the office and transfer information from one PC to another.
Janus Technologies will be at RSA Conference 2020 from February 24 -27, 2020 in San Francisco, California at Booth #4529 in the North Expo. Attendees can stop by and see the new BIOS-SHIELD technology in action on the ASUS ExpertBook P5440.
