[Gaming Cases] TUF Gaming GT501 gaming case fan (front/rear) disassembly and assembly instructions

Preparation

 

Tool: Phlips Screwdriver PH2

 

Fan Compatibility:

( For information about pre-installing fans, please refer to specification page of product )

 

Maximum fan amount on top/ front of GT501 case:120mm *3 or 140mm *2 

 

Replace Fan 

1.  Remove left side panel

Turn the screw in a counter-clockwise direction to loosen (one side 2 screws), then carefully pull out the panel.

 

Note: Please place the case on a flat table to prevent the side panel from falling during disassembly and assembly. 

Please handle with care when disassembling and assembling the glass side panel to avoid collision/drop/heavy pressure.

2. Replace Fan

A. Replace Rear Fan

 Use Phillips screwdriver to remove four screws as shown in the red circle, then replace the fan with a new one.

 

B . Replace Front RGB Fan

01. Remove all wires connected with Front RGB Fan.

Here are some examples of fan connectors for reference.

       

 


02. Remove front panel : Hold the groove under the front panel (shown in red circle), and pull forward and up to remove.    
 


03. Remove Front Fan Air filter (Magnetic)

 

04. Remove four screws as shown in the red circle (there are 4 screws on every fan), then the fan can be replaced.

 


05. After the replacement is completed, the wires can be connected back. Pay attention to arrow to arrow when connecting.

 

 

 

06. Install Front Fan Air filter (Magnetic)

07. Install front panel : Place the front panel and push the groove under front panel down forward to install. (See as picture below)   

*Note: Check if any wire is folded or stuck with the fan blade after they get connected. If necessary, please re-arrange the wires.

 

3. Put the left side panel back and lock tight.

Place the side panel and tighten panel screw in a clockwise direction.

 

Note: Please put the case on a flat table to prevent the side panel from falling during disassembly and assembly.
