[Wireless Router] How to fix disconnection in Public WiFi Mode(WISP)? (RT-AX50 Go)

If you experience disconnection issues while using RT-AX50 Go in Public WiFi Mode(WISP), please refer to the following troubleshooting steps.

 

 

 

 

A. Check LED Indicator Status

  • If the LED is red, it means disconnected from the Parent WiFi network. Please follow the steps below to connect to another available WiFi network.
  • If the LED is blinking blue, the device is connecting to the Parent WiFi network. This process may take 1–2 minutes. If the status does not change, please also follow the steps below to select a different WiFi network.

    How to connect to a different Parent WiFi network:

    1. Connect your computer to the router via wired connection and enter your router's LAN IP or router URL http://www.asusrouter.com to the WEB GUI.

    

    Please refer to How to enter the router setting page(Web GUI) to learn more.

 

    2. Key in your router's username and password to log in.

    

    Note: If you forget the user name and/or password, please restore the router to the factory default status and setup.

    3. Go to [Home] and click [Change Network] to select a different WiFi network.

    

 

 

 

B. Switch Operating Mode (if needed)

   If you wish to change the operation mode, go to [Home] and click to access the configuration page.

   

   Then you can reconfigure RT-AX50 Go to another mode.
