[NUC] Why are there two different versions of the BIOS for the NUC16 Pro, and what happens if I use the wrong one

The NUC16GD[x][x][x] product line has two BIOS options for the different kits/mini-pcs.  These BIOS options are not interchangeable between the two types of products, and they are “keyed” to the platform they are intended to be used with.
The NUC16GDKU5 / NUC16GDKU7 / NUC16GDKX7 / NUC16GDKX9 uses the CRARL579.XXXX structure and is intended for use with boards using the Intel® Processor 325, 356H, 358H or 388H.
The NUC16GDKV5 / NUC16GDKV7 uses the CRARLV57.XXXX structure and is intended for use with boards using the Intel® Processor 335 or 366H.
