ASUS Republic of Gamers Launches an Arsenal of Maxed-Out Laptops

Fremont, California (May 3, 2023) - ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) launches its 2023 laptop lineup, complete with CPUs and GPUs from AMD, Intel®, and NVIDIA®, as well as having significant improvements to the already outstanding Intelligent Cooling Technology. The 2023 Zephyrus G14 sports improved internals and display options, the TUF models pushes boundaries of design and performance, and a redesigned Flow X13 and XG Mobile have both been upgraded to take advantage of the latest hardware.
Modern chips power ultraportable gaming
For 2023, ROG has included the latest hardware from its partners on all of our models. With AMD Ryzen™ Zen 4 processors, increasing core counts to new heights, and the GeForce RTX™ 40 Series Laptop GPUs from NVIDIA offers incredible rasterization performance and a range of additional features like DLSS 3 and AV1 encoding. Paired with the best gaming displays and an incredible cooling solution, ROG continues to push the bar for laptop gaming performance even higher.
The ultra-compact Zephyrus G14 has been upgraded, sporting up to an AMD Ryzen™ 9 Zen 4 processor with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU capable of a 125 W maximum TGP with Dynamic Boost. The G14 also contains a MUX Switch with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus for intelligent switching between maximum frame rates while plugged in, and better on-the-go battery life.
The 2023 Flow X13 now features up to an AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU — a huge upgrade over its predecessor. A dedicated MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus allows the machine to intelligently route the display signal to get the highest performance in game, and the best battery life for everything else.
Built for serious gaming with subtle styling, the TUF Gaming A16 Advantage™ Edition is powered completely by AMD Ryzen™ 9 Zen 4 processor and AMD Radeon™ RDNA™ 3 mobile graphics. The 2023 ASUS TUF Gaming A15 and TUF Gaming A17 also come equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processor, leveraging incredible gaming performance with serious battery endurance. These models sport up to the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 40 Series Laptop GPUs with G-SYNC® support, and feature a max TGP of 140 W with Dynamic Boost. This pairing of high-powered CPUs and high-performance mobile GPUs delivers incredible gaming performance in all the latest titles.
Great display options across the lineup
The Zephyrus G14 are graced with Nebula HDR displays with up to 600 nits of peak brightness, at a 165Hz refresh rate and with 504 dimming zones. Powered by a Mini LED backlight with individual zones that brighten and dim individually for stunning contrast.
The ROG Flow X13 was the first member of the Flow family, and for 2023, it will also be one of the first machines to feature a 13-inch Nebula Display. This QHD 165Hz, 16:10 aspect-ratio panel brings incredible immersion in every game thanks to its incredible pixel density and vivid colors. It’s also has 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and is protected by Gorilla Glass DXC from nicks and scratches to the touchscreen.
The TUF Gaming A16 drives an immersive 16-inch panel with narrow bezels and a huge 90% screen-to-body ratio. The 16:10 aspect ratio display gives incredible immersion and image detail in slower paced titles. But even in frenetic titles, the QHD 240 Hz refresh rates lets the TUF Gaming A16 keep up with the pros. With AMD FreeSync™ Premium technology1, the display’s refresh rate synchronizes with the GPU’s output to reduce lag, minimize stuttering, and eliminate visual tearing for ultra-smooth and lifelike gameplay.
Exceptional Cooling Systems
Both the 2023 Zephyrus G14 and Flow X13 operates cool and quiet thanks to ROG Intelligent Cooling Ecosystem. ROG Intelligent Cooling Ecosystem uses a strategic mix of hardware and features to achieve ideal cooling for each combination of components and chassis, while keeping noise levels low. The 2023 Flow X13 is equipped with several key ROG Intelligent Cooling Ecosystem features: liquid metal, arc flow fans, comprehensive heatpipes, high surface area heatsinks, anti-dust tunnels 2.0, 0dB Ambient Cooling, and scenario profiles.
