ASUS Republic of Gamers Partners with UC Berkeley to Support Cal Esports Program and Community Center

Fremont, CA (August 18, 2022) - ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced a partnership with the University of California, Berkeley to provide funding, equipment, and programming support for the Cal Esports program and grand reopening of the Cal Esports Community Center.

Through this exclusive partnership, ASUS will provide the Cal Esports Community Center with the latest Republic of Gamers (ROG) and TUF Gaming desktops, monitors powered by NVIDIA G-SYNC, and GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards to provide the ultimate experience. Each Cal Esports station will be equipped with top-notch ASUS ROG and TUF Gaming components and desktops: including the TUF Gaming VG258QM, a 24.5-inch G-SYNC compatible display, and the ROG Strix GA15DK-DH776 gaming desktops powered by the GeForce RTX 3070.

ASUS is committed to providing unique opportunities for students interested in pursuing careers within esports and gaming. In addition to the technology partnership, ASUS will be aligning with UC Berkeley’s career development, research, and wellness initiatives by collaborating on Game Fit, a customized wellness and fitness program designed for the Cal Esports community. ASUS will also actively co-sponsor collegiate esports competitions held on UC Berkeley campus; host Game Talks, a series of career development and internship workshops with Cal Esports student athletes; and support the Marginalized Genders in Gaming initiative.

ASUS will also serve as a main event partner for UC Berkeley’s annual Caltopia event hosted by UC Berkeley Recreational Sports. Through this sponsorship, ASUS is expected to showcase the latest technology solutions for over 30,000 UC Berkeley students and attendees from August 21-22.
