ASUS Premium Care Terms and Conditions


ASUS General Limited Hardware Warranty Terms:

Please refer to your specific ASUS product Warranty Card included in your products packaging with regards to the local Standard ASUS Warranty Terms.

ASUS Premium Care (APC) Service Policy:

ASUS Premium Care (warranty extension program) can only be purchased and activated in the country where you originally purchased your brand-new ASUS product from. ASUS reserves the right to decide if your unit qualifies for APC purchases. You are required to keep both (i.) the proof of purchase of the product and (ii.) the proof of purchase of the Warranty Extension Program for reference if future service requests are required. The Warranty Extension Program and services offered only applies to the ASUS products’ original hardware, excluding software, battery, any external devices, accessories, and any parts not factory installed by ASUS. The Warranty Extension Service does not provide global support. APC replaces the original unit’s warranty terms. Service is provided following your local standard service policy for the United States and Canada. Only one (1) Warranty Extension Package can be applied for one (1) product.


ASUS Premium Care (APC) Purchasing Policy:

Warranty Extension Package can only be purchased in the country where you originally purchased your brand-new ASUS product from. You can purchase APC by bundling it with a unit through the ASUS Store or MyASUS APP within the time periods listed below:


1. ASUS Warranty Extension Package must be purchased and activated within the warranty period of your ASUS products. This excludes Desktop and All in One units.

2. ASUS other services (Local Accidental Damage Protection/ Battery Service Package/ Hard Disk Drive Retention/ On-Site Service) must be purchased and activated within 180 days of your ASUS product invoice date.

3. Only Notebook/ Commercial Notebook/ Gaming Notebook can be purchased for extended warranty within the machine warranty period, and the total warranty is limited to a maximum of three years.


For units that are purchased from an authorized reseller, you can also purchase APC provided that a proof of purchase (receipt) of the unit can be rendered.  ASUS will review the proof of purchase to verify the reseller of the unit and the invoice date. ASUS reserves all rights to accept or reject any APC activations.


ASUS Premium Care (APC) Return Policy:


APC Purchased (bundled) with Unit from ASUS Store -


ASUS Premium Care (APC) purchased (bundled) with an ASUS unit will have the same return policy as the unit subject to restocking fee. If the unit is returned to ASUS Store the Warranty Extension Package shall be return as well. APC cannot be returned separately.


APC purchased as a standalone product -


A 14 day return policy will be granted to APC purchased as a standalone product provided that the scratch off security seal has not been tempered with. Once you scratch off the security seal and activate a Warranty Extension Program, there shall be NO REFUNDS, CREDIT, EXCHANGES, and/or DOWNGRADES offered for each ASUS serialized product purchased and the corresponding Warranty Extension Program product activated except where legally required by applicable local laws.


Accidental Damage Protection Terms:

ASUS Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) covers electrical surges, drops, and liquid spills. This coverage applies only if ADP is listed under Coverage Details section above. Scenarios not covered by the ADP terms include (but are not limited to): scratches and dents, incorrect or inadequate customer installation, lost or stolen products, intentional damage, recovery or transfer of stored data to the product, requests for miscellaneous cables or accessories, and damages caused by acts of God or nature. Filing a claim depends on prior validation and approval by ASUS. Only one (1) ADP claim may be filed per year commencing on the purchase date of your product with Warranty Extension Program package.


Shipping: Unless the term “PUR” is stated on the Coverage Details section above, you are responsible to pay for one-way shipping to a designated ASUS Repair facility. ASUS will cover the costs of returning the unit to your originating address within the United States.



During the Local Limited Warranty Period as stated above, ASUS will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any valid defective component. All spare parts or modules removed under this local limited warranty period become the property of ASUS. The terms and conditions of this Local Limited Warranty constitute the complete and exclusive warranty agreement between you and ASUS for the product and supersede any prior agreement or representations made in any ASUS sales document, literature or advice that may be provided to the customer by any ASUS representative in connection with the customer’s purchase of the product. No change to the conditions of this Local Limited Warranty is valid unless it is made in writing and signed by an authorized ASUS representative.


Exclusions from your ASUS General Limited Hardware Warranty and this Warranty Extension Program Service:

·        Units purchased from Best Buy do not qualify for APC.

·        Refurbished units do not qualify for APC.

·        Please refer to the ASUS product warranty card for the most up to date warranty Exclusions.


If General Limited Hardware Warranty Service or Warranty Extension Program Service is required:

Contacting ASUS regarding your ASUS General Limited Hardware Warranty or Warranty Extension Program during the valid warranty period does not automatically mean that your product will be repaired free of charge. Upon receiving your product, ASUS reserves the right to check the validity of your warranty and the validity of your request for warranty service. Neither ASUS, ASUS’ Authorized Service Providers, ASUS Repair Centers, ASUS Authorized Repair technicians nor your reseller are responsible for, and disclaim all liability in regard to, any confidential, proprietary or personal information, whether belonging to you or a third party, contained in the product. You must remove all such information from the product prior to returning your product to ASUS. ASUS, ASUS’ Authorized Service Providers, ASUS Repair Centers, or ASUS Authorized Repair technicians are not responsible for damage or loss of any personal data, programs, or removable storage media. ASUS is not responsible for the restoration or reinstallation of any data or programs other than software installed by ASUS when the product was manufactured. Do not return any product to ASUS without first obtaining an RMA number from ASUS.

Before Contacting ASUS please:

  • Back up all your personal data and remove any confidential, proprietary information on the hard drive. ASUS will not be responsible for any loss of your own programs, data or information as indicated above.
    · Retrieve the following information from your ASUS product: operating system version, BIOS version, and notify if you have made any recent hardware or software changes.
    · Ensure you have the following information readily available: your ASUS product’s model name, serial number, sales invoice/receipt with date of purchase and warranty card. You will be required to provide proof of purchase before any warranty service shall be offered or is scheduled to be performed.
